Unique Ethnic Markets:: October is Fair Trade Month

October is Fair Trade Month and the Fair Trade Cafe is running a series of events throughout the month to heighten awareness of the benefits of buying fair trade goods.

One event in particular to note is a series of Sidewalk Art sales, selling fair trade fine art and crafts from around the world right outside the !st Ave entrance at the Fair Trade Cafe (1st Ave/Roosevelt). The sidewalk art sales will take place every Saturday morning throughout October from 9am - Midday. Covered parking is available next to the cafe and behind the church.

Unique Ethnic Markets:: Karuna Village

I live in Arrowhead Ranch and am involved in Karuna Village which is a non-profit (501(c)3) organization dedicated to educating the community about fair trade and its benefits to artisans and communities. To create a friendly environment we sell Fair Trade Fine Art and Craft items from a variety of traditions from around the globe. The goal is to make Fair Trade merchandise accessible via our online shop, and through the Fair Trade Cafe in downtown Phoenix, for the betterment of artisans and their communities as well as ours.
